Gelish is applied like a varnish but has the strength of a gel. It will last on nails for up to 3 weeks with a high shine. NO CHIPPING, NO PEELING, NO MAINTENANCE! It soaks off in just 15 minutes leaving no damage to the natural nail. It's great for nail biters, people having extensions off and also people wanting to grow their own natural nails.
Minx Nails are a fabulous look for fingers and toes - as seen on many famous fingers! Minx are for those who want to be different and to stand out from the crowd with true mirror like finishes, metallic looks and unusual designs. They can be worn on natural nails lasting up to 1 week on fingers and up to 6 weeks on toe nails. No smudging and no drying time.
• Use cuticle oil every night (just before going to bed). This will nourish the root of the natural nail and should produce stronger nails
• Use protective gloves for housework, gardening, and DIY etc. as household chemicals will strip nails and skin of natural oils and may affect the look and condition
• Moisturise hands / feet after washing allowing the skin to stay smooth
• Be careful when opening can ring pulls or car doors
• Be careful when using suntan oils or insect repellents, as some contain solvents which may cause damage to the polish
• Do not pick off the polish, as this will remove the upper layer of your natural nails and may cause damage
• Have the polish professionally removed followed by a manicure / pedicure to keep nails healthy
I hope you enjoy your Minx nails! You will find that your Minx will last about 4 to 8 days on the fingers, and up to 6 weeks on the toes. Don't worry about getting your nails wet - Minx isn't affected by Jacuzzis, swimming pools, bubble baths, or the beach!
If your Minx seems to be peeling a bit on the edge before you are ready to remove it, you can heat it up with a blow dryer and firmly press it back down.
When you are ready to remove your Minx, simply heat the Minx to soften by dipping your fingers into warm water or removing your Minx while in the midst of a warm bath or shower.
Once the Minx is warmed, simply break the seal between the coating and the side of the nail with an orange stick, and slowly peel the Minx off from side to side. Do not peel from the free edge to the cuticle area, or vice versa.

A semi permanent hair removal which removes hairs from the root lasting 2-6 weeks depending on the hair growth rate. You will need 4 weeks growth from shaving to achieve the best results on your first wax.
It might feel a bit awkward stripping off in front of a stranger but I am a professional and have seen it all before.Important - Step away from the razor! Please do NOT shave in betweeen appointments.This will impact on the result and if your hair is too short I will not be able to wax it. As a rule of thumb please allow a minimum of 3 weeks hair growth (or half a centimetre.)
Please ensure that you do not:
• Use any chemical exfoliates 48 hours before treatment;
• No sunbathing or sunbeds for 24 hours before treatment;
• Use deodorant on the areas that you are getting waxed;
• No body lotions or moisturisers to be applied on the day of treatment;
• Do gently exfoliate the skin a few days before treatment but not on the day of treatment.
Some slight redness and small bumps are perfectly normal temporary reactions, especially after your first wax so please don't panic. These symptoms usually subside within 24 - 48 hours of your treatment. You should keep the waxed area clean and avoid heat and friction during the next 24-48 hours. This means:
• No hot baths or showers (lukewarm is fine);
• No sauna's or steam treatments;
• No tanning - (sunbathing, sunbeds or fake tans);
• Avoid swimming in chlorinated pools;
• Avoid scratching or touching the treated area;
• Wear clean, loose fitting clothes
Do not apply any deodorants, body sprays, make-up, perfume or lotions to the waxed area, other than those products recommended by myself for 24 - 48 hours. To soothe and protect the skin, apply an antiseptic cream regularly for 3 days. Always wash your hands before applying any product. Use a sunblock on exposed areas of skin. It can take up to 4 treatments for your hair to get on a growth cycle that gives the best results. Please do not shave, tweeze or use hair removal creams between appointments. To maintain your smooth appearance waxing regularly every 4 - 6 weeks is recommended.
To prevent ingrown hairs: Starting a few days after your appointment, gently exfoliate the skin using RUFF STUFF daily body scrub (£9 per tub purchased from Katie's Beauty) and using a body mitt or brush. Moisturise the area every day to keep skin supple and help new hairs to grow through easily.

Occasionally, you may experience any of the following reactions up to 24-48 hours after treatment; this is known as a contra-action and is the body's response to the treatment:
• Headache, Dizziness or nausea, disrupted sleeping pattern, achey muscles, increased urination/stools, increased thirst, fatigue.
These reactions are uncommon but perfectly normal and show that toxins are being expelled from the body, so that it may re-balance and cleanse itself.
There are many benefits to a body scrub or polish. A body scrub/polish will exfoliate your skin, sloughing off dead skin cells and rubbing away hard and flaky skin, leaving it feeling soft and smooth. A scrub can be really invigorating as well, and improve the circulation of blood and lymph to the surface of the skin, helping to fight cellulite and improve your skin tone. This treatment is perfect prior to a holiday to achieve the perfect tan!
